Snake skin

Hi I am going to try casting snakeskin blanks. My question is should I get Stretched and dried or tanned skins? Thanks Rich H

Well Rich, you either go snakehunting yourself, learn to tan or web search skins then there you go. You just missed 3 here on IAP. Good luck

Soft tanned...the softer and more pliable the better. Good luck.

Ive never used tanned skins, only those that were recently skinnned and rubbed down in tanning oil. I just tack them down and salt the heck out of them to dry them out. Going to have to try that soft tanned skin to see how it is.
