Small wood gloat (Can you guess it?)

I scored this wonderful rare burl recently...not cheap but this is one that I have been hunting for some time now. It is not perfect, have some inclusions and checks but I am very happy with it never the less.

To make it more interesting, I will let you guess for a couple of days...or until someone gets it right.

The blocked out/framed piece shown is exactly 5" x 5". The picture is very close to the actual color and shade (in my monitor atleast) but the chatoyance is not shown.

Can you guess what this wood is?

LOML who knows a lot of wood now wasn't able to guess what this is...and I have a lot of the regular kind of this wood in my stash. [:0]

(btw, just making it clear that I am NOT giving any of this to the winner [}])

I have some A. Chestnut...very rare indeed but this is not A. Chestnut.

Sure looks like Amboyna to me. If it's not, I've seen a few pictures of Amboyna that are very similar to this. Very nice piece.

Here is the full shot of the desert ironwood burl. I milled it last night and I felt sorry I did (first time for me after milling a lot of wood). Well I hope it is worth it because it will end up into 13 pens or so (nice ones I hope).

This pic shows a much lighter color than actual. The first pic is closer than this but this shows the figure better which is only seen in person.
