I have it and it gets the job done. I have really no regrets on it. It drastically improved how cleanly and quickly I can turn a blank.

IT IS NOT THE 10" LIKE THE TORMEK! It's an 8", which is what I have, and yes, I can shave the hair off my arm. I believe the Sheppach 10" model is called the "2400" or something.

Now that I have the Sheppach, the Grizzly came out two weeks later for only a few dollars more in the 10" version.

Thanks Monty for muddying up the water even more on the slow speed wet grinder. Lets see, Jet, Tormek, Grizzley, and now Sheppach. Aaarrrrggggg. Oh, by the way, don't you have a Jet. Your just teasing us arent'cha?

Lol, you can reduce the number back to 3. I am pretty convinced that the Grizzly is the same as the Sheppach 2500. They have EXACTLY the same wheel--- look closely at the Grizzly and see the "2500" label on it. That's what the Sheppach 10" has.

The Scheppach Tiger was a part of a recent woodworking magazine review on sharpening machines. I do not have the link anymore - maybe someone could post it for everyone else to read.

The Scheppach machine did NOT get a very good review. The Tormek was top of the line.:)

It usually doesn't because they are comparing it to a $500 machine. The Tormek is a fine piece of work, certainly the BMW of the grinders.

And like the BMW, it's WAY overpriced when you merely need something to get the job done. A $60,000 BMW will take you to the same places that a used $8,000 Toyota will. Now, if you are looking for fun, power, image, and style, BMW and Tormek are the thing. Nothing wrong with that!

I can sharpen my tools to the point that they are scary sharp, and I paid well under $200 for the Sheppach. Nothing wrong with that either!
