(Long, frustrating story about the shop thing: and that would be our own Mr Cook) I've been using some of my time teaching my oldest grandson to shoot. I've always been an avid hunter and plinker and he is now 12 so I thougt it was time. Anyway, one of my favorite pieces is a Sig P229 in .40 S&W. But I've never been real fond of plastic grips... I am a woodworker. So I found some wood ones, but they were plain. I had an idea for what I wanted and Stan said he could fix me up. So after some email and photo exchanges, I got these back from him today.

Great work, Stan! Thanks!

Those are fantastic. Did he modify the plain wood ones or did he remake the entire grip? Glad you were able to get them made, I don't think I could have done that.

Very cool! Nice to spend time with your grandson. Do you enjoy being back home in Texas?

Is a pig's butt pork?

He lasered the plain wood grips from Hogue. The total cost made them more expesive than stock Sig Elite or Equinox grips, but I thought it was worth it.
