Simple 60 degree Segments

This is all that I have the patience to do (for now), but I do enjoy it and like the look. Nice to make use of the cut-offs too.

  1. Cut on Byrnes saw.
  2. Glued with Stick fast medium CA
  3. Trimmed on a bandsaw
  4. Rounded on a lathe
  5. Drilled on a drill press
  6. Turned at 2800 with HSS roughing gouge
  7. Dry sanded to 2000
  8. Wiped down with DNA
  9. 5 coats of med Gliboost, 4 coats of thin
  10. Sanded from 800 to 2000 dry, then buffed.

Sharp!! Segments are both wood? The blue pieces looked like resin to me at first but then the bottom blue segment looks like dyed burl of some kind...Nice!
