Silmar 41 instructions?

I bought a gal of silmar but it did not come with instructions just a measuring cup like comes with cough syrup. what is the proper way to mix this stuff?

depends on what you are casting as to how many drop of catalyst per once of resin. For my quarter blanks, and snakeskins , typically, 3-5 drops per ounce. I believe the instructions say somewhere in the range of 6 drops per ounce.

Yeah depends on heat & humidity too. What I normally do is for my 1st ounce 5 drops, then for each additional ounce 3 drops. Has worked well. Now if it is 90+ degrees in the shop, I will minus 1 drop from the 1st ounce making it 4. Has worked well for me so far in my conditions.

no dropper tip came with, anyone know where to get one?

What kind of top does the MEKP have? Sometimes, it is in a little bottle where you screw off the top and there is a little insert covering the bottle opening with just a hole in it. Sometimes, teh cap will have a flip up 'spout'. Both work to make drops.

it just has a screw cap. i kinda thought it would make sense if it had some sort of dropper.

Go buy the cheapest eye drops you can find and use the eye-dropper for MEK (Do NOT store it in your medicine cabinet!!! Especially if you have children or a wife!!)

Geez Ed, any idea which of these two will be the first to grab it even if it has a big "X" marked on the bottle?

I used to have some syringes with red X's that I used for my epoxy and low and behold they were in the wife's craft room ...
