Is the IAP owned by an individual and who might that be? Or is it a non-profit group organization? Just curious for donation tax write off potential.

As for a tax write off, I don't know. You could PM him, look under "member tools" to "member list" Search for his name, on the profile is a "send an email" link.

The gray line to this would be if you are a business and file a schedual C then anything you donate for a prize can be considered a promotional expense. Also a contribution to the site could fall under the heading of a subscription, just like a magazine subscription. As a business you have a little more leeway but in regards to an individual there is none.
