I finally broke down and sliced my curly koa block taken from a root ball and here is what I got. :D This is direct from the bandsaw and oiled but should have much better figure than shown once finished.

I posted this 7/8" x 4-7/8" x 17" slab on eBay (shameless plug) :D[}:)]

Dario,

You know you are not supposed to be woodworking. Since I am the first poster, send it to me and I will do the work for you! :D

Beautiful piece of wood!

Hank, Though not yet definite, I think my problem is not wood (whew, what a relief - fingers crossed). I've been handling various woods these past 3 weeks but no eczema breakups. I haven't turned any so it is possibly something else that I use while turning. I am leaning towards CA.

John, I agree. The golden red color is very rich too and not common. It is among the best Koa I ever owned.

David, I don't think it is metal. I handled metals these past weeks like knives, handplane, bandsaw blades, etc. and got no reaction.

Christian, My family does have milk allergy history. My sisters, and kids does react, the older 2 had to drink soy milk. Both my daughters and I have to drink Lactaid due to lactose intolerance. So this is worth looking at too.

Thanks guys.
