My dear old dad used to say "the only stupid question is the one you're about to ask!" so here it is: When shipping (mailing) a ROLLERBALL pen, is it okay to ship with the cartridge installed, and ready to write on arrival, or is it more advisable to ship it with the cap on it, as we receive them in the kits? I just wondered if air pressure might play with it, and fill the pen with ink, making for a messy package for whoever is on the receiving end. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks for your input.

First off not a stupid question. It is fine to ship a roller ball in the pen. Unlike a fountain pen the the trip though the air willnot effect it.

Don't have any first hand knowledge of that except that none of my rollerballs that have been packed in my bags have ever had a problem.
Must comment on the "question" topic. Military instructors almost invariably will tell a new class "there is no such thing as a stupid question..." I think that each and every one of them were sorry they ever said that to my class. Anybody that's ever offered advice to me through email will probably understand that...right Dario and Gerry?

Thank you, Alan and Mark, for the feedback. Just wanted to err on the side of caution, so to speak. BTW, the "stupid question" comment was totally tongue-in-cheek, an ice-breaker, don'tcha know. Thanks again.
