LOML and I are wondering and basically asking for any ideas you all have on shipping you products. I would like to use online postage printing etc as I hate to wait in lines at USPS and UPS and Fedex are costly.
What do you ship your pens and other items in and any advice will by greatly appreciated.

Thanks you all

You can fit a whole bunch of stuff in a Priority Mail box, which then slips nicely into a flat rate envelope (cheaper to mail than the box, but it gives it a little more protection).

Can't help you with the lines at the PO -- 'round here standing in line at the Post Office is about the only chance I get to see my neighbors!

I use USPS Click-N-Ship for nearly everything. Carrier pickup is fantastic. Over the last few years I've done 300+ packages that way with never a problem.

If your package weighs over 13 ounces you need to present yourself at the post office - spelled pain in the A$$. The new small flat rate box ships for the same postage as the flat rate envelope, so you can eliminate a step by using the small box, but one of our two post office choices just told me, yesterday, that the small box is a different rate from the envelope (He is wrong, but I just take it to the other post office, where they know about the small, small box - which is the same as the envelope, not the same as the "small box" in their computer.)

Just a few of the joys of shipping, when the weight gets over 13 ounces.

Oh, and these three were international, so the PO people also got to tell me all the customs forms were the wrong ones (they were not). Another FUN TIME was had by ALL!!!

I use USPS to ship and do a lot of the postage online from
Paypal's site, I'm able to use USPS thru paypal's site and print
postage for most anything from small first class to several pounds
priority mail. The fee for postage is deducted from my paypal balance,
I print the postage label, stick it on box, drop in the drop box at p.o. No waiting in line.
You just need a scale to weigh packages to plug that info in online.
Seems pretty easy for me.
I do international the old fashion way, by hand written on paper forms, and place for shipment personally.Too much hassle for me to do customs forms online.
Some do it online and like it, however!

Not if you live in BFE  And if the package is too big to fit in the mailbox, I just put a note in the mailbox and the nice lady will back up, pull into our driveway, get out of her car in the middle of a storm, walk over to the boat, lift the cover, remove the package, get back in her car, and continue on her route. Not all postal workers are AR

I've never printed postage from the online USPS site. Do you have to print onto actual labels? How does it line-up? I didn't see much info about that kind of stuff on the site.
Anyone have any additional info?

Postage printed online via USPS click-n-ship is exempt from the 13 ounce rule. According to the PO here, only items mailed over 13 ounces using stamps are required to have PO drop off or carrier pickup.

Online Click-n-ship Postage prints on plain paper.
