Been experimenting with different combinations, The Red with gold vein trustone used the heavevy duty stand from PSI, the Razor from Ernie at Bear Tooth, the blue sodalite trustone the light duty stand also from PSI and again razor from PSI, the green razor and stand are both from PSI.
All knots are the AAA badger. The razors from Ernie the fittings are almost twice as large and have a much heaver look but they will only fit in the heavey duty stand. The razors from PSI are to small to fit in their heavy duty stand. Now if you turn the handels with slots you can make them both fit but balance now becomes a problem IMO.

Roy, I was able to spread the razor jaws on the PSI stand so the razor from Ernie will fit. It doesn't take very much.

Fantastic work Roy. I can understand the different quandaries you are relating, but regardless you have three sets there that look really nice. Color combination of those set up there - love the green. I like the heavier stand better - but would like to see one that is a combination of the two (bottom plate of the first and top piece of the second - just a thought for those distributors out there.)
I think a full set of cactus would be awesome as well :wink:

All that being said - I can't WAIT to see your finished product along with the crock of soap that will be available. This is definitely a great idea .

I would have thought ( just by looking at the pics ) that the blue one was the heavy duty one and the red was the light duty one?

How does the plating stand up to being in a bathroom all the time?

Razor blade shapes seem to change on a daily basis in the UK. I think the last one I got has 5 blades on it. Is there only one style of blade that will fit on these?

Steve, the red has the heavy duty stand with the lighter duty top, and the blue the light duty stand with the heavy duty top piece...Confusing yes but I did have a reason.

Dick how did you spread the jaws without marring them?..
