Awesome stuff
We use it with pex
I was very impressed first time I used it. Instead of using the fittings and crimper, you just use a sharkbite. The best practice is to use them where you may need to tap into your plumbing.

I manage an apartment building, and we had a pipe burst in a ceiling. the plumbing guy used that to do the repair. the biggest advantage is the very short time to make the repair, plus no torch in the small confines of the ceiling to cause a fire.

I had to just 2 weeks ago. There was an under the slab leak in my house. Had to cut the slab used 2 of the connectors to replace about 8in of pipe. took 2 tries on one side didnt get it in right the first time. Held pressure when it was put in right. There was not a lot of room to work in the hole we had to make. mike

My friend was telling me about it but I wasn't sure if it was worth the extra expense. I have mostly CPVC but there are still some copper lines here and there in the house.

This is an excellent product. I have used them before and have asked several plumbers about them (I'm an electrician) on the job site. The general consensus is that they're great for repair work, but too cost prohibitive to be used to plumb, say, a whole house.
