Selling Pens

When selling pens to be given as a gift how do you package/box them? Where are nice boxes purchased?

I first started with velvet pouches, then I moved on to cardboard boxes that Monty sells

That's what I'm doing for gifts that I'm giving. Pens that customers buy are generally sold in the cardboard boxes unless they want to upgrade to leatherette or a wooden box.

Half of mine go into a velvet draw string pouch, another batch go into a leatherete box and another batch go into a leather case. This all depends on the selling price of the pen and if it is for the user or given as a gift.

I like the leatherette boxes from PSI, I get them from woodturninz, they are about 2.50 ea

Every pen, gift or sale goes into a velvet pouch.

My prices include a cheap plastic case. If it is going to be a gift, I offer a range of upgrades. I was surprised how often people go for the better cases.
I find most kit suppliers sell a variety of pen cases.

IMHO, I think the case is almost as much of a selling point as the pen in many cases. This year I plan to put out my pens in nicer boxes and see how the sales go. The wood boxes are nice, but I honestly think some of the nice brass edged boxes look more expensive than the wood ones.

Mine come with both a velvet puch and a custom engraved box from Stan....with my logo.
