If brass is used in segmenting vs aluminum, will it tarnish over time? Or does a CA finish completely isolate it from any oxygen to prevent that? Has anyone had brass to tarnish after coated with CA?

Thanks

It makes sense that it would not but I remember my parents had a brass bed that they got that was very old. It has been coated with something but was very dark. The polished it back to brass but had to remove a finish before they got to the brass. It was a very old bed though? So I guess I can say I am not sure but have reason to believe that over long periods of time it may tarnish? I have wondered about the aluminum and copper that I have used as well.

I'm with the others. I wouldn't think it would tarnish, as it's sealed by the CA. However, I have no concrete data to back up that claim. Atleast I can say no one has brought one of my pens back (that I've used brass in the segmenting) that's tarnished.
