Walnut top. and base, Olive wood future ring with red and black Vulcanized spacer.
Main body Hard Maple.
Lacquer finish.

Hey Ted ,go for it fun vessel to build ,I also installed 2 inch clear tube sealed on one end so it can hold water for flowers. My wife always has some in the house..

Rich: Just love working with Olive. wood, Olive woods getting hard to find these days and is getting 45.00 per board foot. going to looks for something else as I have a good market for these types of vessels vase.
So,how everything going, getting remodel don e and ready for play time in. the shop. Going to be hot as hell next week100-+108 so no. shop time.
My segmenting cutting jig is one of. Pete Markin design , pricy but flawless segments which gives tight glue lines.
