I'm trying a new venture and need a couple of Sierra blanks cast. I'll pay for the work - based on just the trial blanks.

If my concept looks good, there may (or may not) be additional casting needed. No pie-in-the-sky dreaming yet, just want to make sure it can be done for now.

Thanks, Fred!

Here are some questions that I need answers for, so I can get started:

What exact dimensions do I need for a photo to be wrapped around a Sierra tube?

Are there specific papers and inks that make for better photo casting?

Is there a good adhesive for attaching paper to the brass tube?

Are there any potential problems with paper being cast right to the edge of the tube - can moisture seep into the paper if the tube is submerged in water?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'd like to try a photo to the edge of the tube and another with a slightly smaller photo with the tube painted at the edges, like a color border for the photo.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's funny how much thought occurs to me after I post. Sorry to make this more complicated - I just hadn't figured out how ignorant I am of casting, until I had posted my first question.
