I contacted Sears to get a replacement instruction manual for my garage door opener. It will cost me $15.00 with shipping and all I need to do is reprogram my keypad! They wouldnt send me just one page either. And they wonder why we go elsewhere and they are struggling. What happened to customer service? Its all about making money, I guess. Would anyone know or have a craftsman keypad instruction manual? Mine is about 6 years old.I am sure they are pretty much the same, and of course I changed the battery.

For my Genie opener, you take the keypad to the motor housing and there is a program button on the housing under the light cover(not sure if yours is the same), press the program button on the keypad and on the housing to link them together, then you program your secret code in and your done. I found instructions online for mine do you have a model number and I will see if I can find anything.

If it is the wireless key pad I can get you the instructions when I get home. (if you know the current code). The wireless one I have has the instruction on a sticker that I have, but not at work.

IDIOT SIGHTING:
We had to have the garage door repaired. The Sears repairman told us that one of our problems was that we did not have a "large" enough motor on the opener. I thought for a minute, and said that we had the largest one Sears made at that time, a 1/2 horsepower. He shook his head and said, "Lady, you need a 1/4 horsepower." I responded that 1/2 was larger than 1/4. He said, "NO, it's not." Four is larger than two.â€
We haven't used Sears repair since.

Now that is downright funny.[:0][:0]
