Seam Rippers and Matching Notions Bowls

Mahogany. I could not get the ripper to match the bowl exactly and I've no idea why. I tried twice.

Great pairing. The finish is part of wood, it is a living organism so it will alway react differently.

Are your seam rippers from Woodcraft? I just turned my first few and found the tube way to tight for the end caps, allowing them to be easily flipped. I resorted to reaming the inner tube. I could have lubricated the rubber, maybe, but didn't want to risk residual oil getting on any fabric they might be used on.just wondering your experience.

The chrome kit is from PSI, there is a metal spring that inserts in the tube. The gold kit is Woodcraft. It fits fine I think.
