Also, you do have scorpions near you..you just don't know it! They are found all the way up into Maine. Even here in Michigan there are scorpions. They are just rare and hard to find. In New York City, they have really taken quite a hold in the harbor areas. It's not because scorpions want to live here, or they walk up here, they get here on trains, trucks and boats, by accident and then since they are stuck here, they adapt and breed.
Hard time of the year to find them around here. When it warms up, those critters are everywhere....rock quarries, gravel pits, dry wood piles, under my sink(don't ask why).
