Finished my first shaving brush out of Tru Stone. It looks great and I need to glue in the badger hair knot. I was thinking of using silicone caulk vice epoxy. Is that a bad idea?

I would stick with epoxy. It will give you a solid waterproof adhesion where the silicon will be flexible forever and could start to separate. No real experience with that, just an idea.

I use GE silicone caulking in mine. I figured if silicone will hold a stainless steel undermount sink full of water and pots and pans in
a kitchen counter top, it should hold a badger hair brush.
