Not sure where to post this, but: The remains of the first American lost in the Gulf War have been found in Iraq, the military said Sunday, a sorrowful resolution of a nearly two-decade old question about the fate of Navy pilot Capt. Michael "Scott" Speicher.

I think it was a kind gesture of the Bedouin people to bury him as best they could, I'm very happy that now he can be returned to his family for interment in the U.S.

I agree. Been a lot of years his family not knowing for sure, always holding onto that slim hope. Now they can hold a proper burial.

This is so true. And thank goodness someone remembered came forward. I can NOT imagine how heart wrenching the last 20 years has been for his family but I saw the interview and she kept repeating the word "bittersweet". Very sad his remains were found but very glad as he hadn't endured 20 years of captivity, torture, etc.
