OK, so it is not a turning, but Daveturnes05 and I spent the weekend building a "desk" for my wife's sewing room. She designed it and had final approval on all stages (Like I would have a choice any ways.) Including keeping all knots etc.

I must give props to Dave for inlaying a butterfly on the end check on the left side, and providing more than one design improvement.

Yes the floor is going to be replaced, but more important was getting the room puppy ready. The wall color was "matched" to some turquoise she had, and the entire room will be "South Western"

Please feel free to comment or make suggestions. I has been suggested that the shelf supports be cut back and beveled to hide them from view, and I think that will be and early modification of it.

She will need a lot more storage than that. Just finished assembling my mothers new quilting cabinet. The thing is freaking huge!!!! I wanted to take it and use it as a work bench there are so many cabinets and storage areas on it.

Well it is 8'5" X 20+ on the wall above, there will be 4 shelves 8'X8". All the wood is White oak. I milled a couple of years ago. You cannot see it well, but the right side there is a big burl in the center of the top.
