A little geek help needed :D:D

Here's the problem:
I'm using Windows XP and MSOffice. When I get an email attachment with a MS Word document ..... I click on the attachment to open it. Then, as I am editing it, I get a message reading "Run-Time Error". The document then shuts down and is gone. However, if I get an email with an MS Word attachment and save the attachment before opening it, I can then open and edit the document without any problems. The Run-Time Error also happens in a few other instances.

Besides, wiping and reformatting my hd .... or reinstalling MS Office ... is there anything I can do?

:(

I think Oprah is having a special on run-time errors next week. [:D][)][:p]

Sorry Doc just kidding, I will ask a couple of the computer guys here if they can come up with an answer.

Maybe it was sent to the "OLD" Doc Stram and you aren't authorized to read it! [:D] [:D] [:D]
Seriously I think it is a registry problem, if you search runtime error on google you will find some free programs to check your registry.
