Rough Two Weeks

It's been a rough two weeks. My daughter and I were out last Sunday going to the library and we were rear-ended by a young man on the phone. Had a headache for a week went to the Dr. on Monday and I have a concussion and whiplash. Tonight while making dinner the knife slipped off of the potato I was cutting and sliced through my left thumb. It is now twice it's size with gauze and a splint to help it heal. So between the two events no turning for a while and I have a show coming up at the end of September. Patience, patience and learning to sit quietly will be my task for the next week or so.

Hope you feel better. Don't push yourself to recover. Allow you body time to heal. And then hit it hard!!

Cindy, sorry you were a victim of the cell phone idiot :bad:. They scare the crap out of me even in our valley, I can't imagine multitasking on a busy freeway or big city. Your thumb may very well have been caused by this accident due to your body being out of sorts. Take care and good luck on your show next month.

Trust me - you are not alone...

My mother was hospitalized earlier in the month for heart problems, daughter was tested for a bone malady this month (she is fine but for a while we were unsure), and now my doctor discovered heart irregularities in me for which I am undergoing a series of tests.

I'm sure most of my problems stem from the freaking traffic that has sprung up in the last 18 months. Where the blazes are all the people coming from?

It has been a trying year for all...

Yes, I think that I cut myself because of my concussion. My reflexes seem to be a bit off and I have a major headache that seems to be affecting things. I am mainly just hanging out at home. Itching to be turning, but wise enough to not go near the lathe, talk about injury.
