Carved some roses on a goose egg, then touched up with an airbrush to accent the leaves and petals.

Jim,

Thanks, I am having lots of fun fooling with this egg stuff

Toni,

Did you used to do egg art?

I wonder if I could come up with a design that incorporated PC Canes into egg carving and painting. Do you know anyone who embellishes egg art with PC?

I made well over 500 eggs many years ago, website is http://www.keepsakeeggs.com these egg designs are pretty old as I have not made any new ones since being in New Zealand, maybe 2-3. I know many pc artists that do http://www.hgtv.com/decorating/carved-goose-egg/index.html she just caves, let me see what else I can find. http://www.ladycailet.com/eggs.php

Hope that helps answer your question..

Wow all that stuff is amazing, I've just done 4 so far, I have a long way to go. I initially just tried eggs because I wanted to do that sort of carving and airbrushing on woodturnings. I am working on the skills to make the thin walled turnings, but figured that a bit of "Low Cost Outsourcing" to get thin walled vessels to practice on would be helpful. This way if I ruin a piece it's not something I have hours invested in. I am finding eggs fun, in an of themselves however.
