I can point my customers to Office Depot etal for Cross and Parker refills (for slimline, cigar, euro), but does anyone know if those places sell rollerball refills that fit Jr. Gent II and Jr. Statesman rollerballs?

Or...do you folks who sell a lot of Jr Gent II and Jr. States just keep a supply of refills on hand and have customers buy them from you?

Pilot G2 refills work even better. The tip of the unibal does stick out of the nib farther than the G2, but they both work fine.

Pretty much any standard roller ball refill in the office supply stores will fit, these include the nameless store brands, the name brands like Cross, Watermann etc - or as said Uniball or Pilot G2 will work. The Uniball or the G2 are normally at Staples two for $1.99 or so.
If you need more info on the refill issue, do a search here....

Pont them to Office supply stores if you like. Myself, I keep a minimum of 50 each of Schneider, Schmidt and Hauser refills on hand. The Schneider refills are harder to find but Anthony here on the forum sells them at decent prices along with other hard to find gel refills to replace the Parker style ballpoint refills.

When someone buys a pen, I usually throw in a free refill "to save them a trip to the store later on". You would be suprised how that makes them feel. After ordering a pen from my website, one lady thought it was very considerate of me, and ordered another pen a week later. I can't tell if she ordered the other pen because of my consideration but for the $1 it cost me, I will continue doing it.

Another reason is that I think it tells the customer that you are there to take care of them and not just after a quick sale.

Thanks all for the help. George, I don't have any need for 150 refills like you do (!), at least not yet, but I will look into stocking some refills just for the reason you gave. That's similar to why I include a cardboard box with every sold/gift pen. It costs less than a buck to do and it buys a lot of "customer support equity"!

My goal for this next year is on selling more of the mid-level pens (Jr Gents, Jr States, etc) and already thought about including a blue ink refill with each pen since that's the color of choice now on a lot of the legal documents. I'll hit Anthony up for some supplies.

PS Rudy...like your quote!

I provide my sellers and customers with a list of suitable refills. Although, I reccomend the Schimdt as the best.
They are:
Hauser 707 & 777
Schmidt 888 & 5888
Pilot G-2
Zebra JF
Cross 8521(blue) & 8523(black)

After all the bad refills I have had with my baron kits, and the replacements for them, I stay away from Hauser now. Nothing like having a customer come back to you after a week or two and say it stopped writing. I give them the Hauser still but say here is a replacement incase it runs out or stops writing early.
