The pump is great for vacuum chucking or use with a vacuum chamber for stabilizing blanks. Both work great, just don't work with my new lathe. Will ship if buyer pays shipping.

Those pumps allegedly put a fine mist of oil into the air...have you found that to be true? And does the adapter for 1x8 to 1 1/4x8 have a hole in it for the rod to pass thru?

Yes, the adapters have holes in them for the rod to pass through. Also, yes to the mist. All oil pumps will emit a mist from the exhaust, but you can put filters on them that catch this and keep it out of the shop. This is just one example of them, https://shopbvv.com/products/vacuum-pump-vapor-mist-filter?_pos=1&_psq=mist&_ss=e&_v=1.0 However, I never found it to be that big of an issue while using it for vacuum chucking. If using with a chamber where it will run longer then it may be something to look into
