Thanks for the heads up, seems the problem was discovered quickly since the saws in question where sold between January and July of this year. Gonna make a lot of people jumpy using stacked dados though.

The R4511 is the new Granite topped table saw. Mine is the TS3650 so I am safe. I hope.

Mine as well. My heart skipped a beat when I opened the PDF, and I'm relieved it doesn't apply to me, but I feel sorry for those folks who might have been injured by the other saw.

My thought is, if I see something like that when uised for dado work I would also be concerned with a standard blade and maybe just over tightening abit. So I would make a move even if you do not use a dado blade.

My saw is far more serious than any ridgid saw, but I do not wrench my blades any tighter than my hands can make them. I put the wrench on the nut and turn till the wrench stops on the table, then pull on the blade, that's it. It is not necessary to torque the blade on. I was taught to do this by professionals years ago and it works every time, the blade never gets loose and there is no need for a special blade removal tool like a blade-stop. And thus changing a blade should not take more than a minute.
