I just have to say the tool rest I got from Rick for my Jet Mini lathe is so superior compared to the stock rest. I got the smaller one and it's fantastic for getting in close to small pieces. The only thing I've considered is putting a little loc tight on the threads so the rest doesn't turn off the post so easily. I've gotten other things from Rick and his work is outstanding. I can't lift him up enough.

Same here. I just bought a tool rest from him and really can't believe how much smoother and better control I am experiencing. Top-notch accessories!

I took a wrench to the post, as Rick suggested, and tightened it down a bit and I don't think it is going to come off the post anymore.

Mr. Herrell's work is second to none! Service to match!

They are addictive, I own 8 all custom lengths, love them. I'm always thinking about what I can have Rick make to make my turning easier.

Yes, use a wrench to tighten them together and everything will be good.
