Well, the new shipment has arrived and I am attempting to make it into pen blanks. As I do, I am becoming aware of the differences between the remainder of my existing stock and the NEW stock.

The zebra now has a more "furry" look, the lines are not as distinct. The purple-gold BAR looks somewhat different from the ROD I have sold in the past.

Then, there is a thread talking about "crushed shell" blanks. I still have some of the Italian rods in the basement that I bought over a decade ago - they look and shine differently from the ones I have purchased recently.

"SO WHAT??"
YOU ASK
So, if you find a blank you really like - buy a BUNCH!!! Tomorrow you may not be able to find the same blank. This applies to ALL suppliers of resins. I have a multitude of blanks that I have purchased from CS over the years that look nothing like the picture. I don't consider this deceitful, I believe instead that it is NORMAL for resin. So consider this a "word to the wise"

Also, we will be trying to show CURRENT product on our website (Dawn did all the work, but I am shown as one of the owners since so much of the product is my imports). But, please understand there is SOME variation in the process of creating resin blanks. So, the good old disclaimer applies:

YMMV!!!
