Rendezvous deadlines

Rendezvous deadlines are creeping up on us... Next weekend is the deadline for button design submissions, and a week later for the pen display. I don't care how many entries we get for the button - it takes but 1 good one But, the pen display is important, if we want to keep interest in our craft up in the greater turning community. So I hope lots of folks have pens ready to send in, or are actively working on them. I wanted to add that this year we will have a special prize. To commemorate the 5th year of the Pen Display, we will draw for a <b>Jet Mini-Lathe with Teknatool Midi chuck</b>! Every pen display participant will be in the drawing once - you don't get 3 chances if you submit in 3 categories. As a reminder, you don't need to attend the Rendezvous to enter the pen display! Also a note to those that have participated in the past: the categories this year are different, make sure you get the correct instructions by sending an email to this address

This Grand Display Prize is independent of any prizes awarded otherwise - we will continue to have some prizes for the top-voted pens.

A bit of history: the pen display really made a splash in the first year we had it, and created quite a stir in the woodturning community. It has been enjoyed by many in the years since, and has really given great exposure to our craft. We want to keep that momentum going!
