Hello,

Sunday is Remembrance Day,
remembrance_day8_111106.jpg

Please take a moment at 11AM today to pause and reflect in memory of the ultimate sacrifice made for us by men and women who’s commitment and courage knew no limit.

In Flanders Fields

In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe,
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch, be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields

Freedom always has its price. From my family, thank you to everyone who has served their country in the military and their families who also had to pay a significant price. And I continue to pray for everyone who is presently serving, especially those in harm's way. TO ABSENT FRIENDS

Thanks for the nice tribute Jim.
As usual, the rain started here at 11.00am uk time. It always seems to rain just as the guns go off here in Portsmouth.
Some how it seems to make the sacrifices made for us all, more poinient.
Lest we forget!
Amen.

In the States we call it Veteran's Day. Here's to my brothers in arms who did not come back from Mr. Nixon's war...and to the others who have made the sacrifice such that my granchildren are free.

We remain the land of the free, only as long as we remain the home of the brave. Here's to never forgetting the brave souls that have sacrificed.....thank you
