Here is something I would like to see more folks here remember. Last month was the first Midwest Penturning Gathering ---do you remember who provided the gift certificates. I could not attend the event but I did get to read about it.
Last week I needed several items and I placed my first order with Ernie over at Bear Tooth Woods. The whole thing online so I never talked to anyone but I made sure that I thanked Ernie for supporting the site.
I got my order today---very fast turn around-- great service. Next time you need to buy kits or supplies take a second to think about the folks that support this site with donations.

If you ever have occasion to communicate directly with Ernie, you'll find that he's an exceptionally nice person. I'm glad to see that your experience with him was consistent with mine!

I "discovered" Ernie when I first started turning. He has always been great to deal with. Hey, I even knew him before he and Robin got married!! []

I actually called him before I ordered the first time - I've had a couple of bad experiences with small "businesses" on the 'net, so I've taken to calling first, just to see what it'll be like in case I _do_ have a problem.

Long story longer, I think Ernie was actually at the grocery store when I reached him, but took a few minutes to reassure me. He then worked with me to get 50 blue slimlines (and delivered faster than promised) which ended up being part of my "wedding favor" basket. OK, the wife's - but the pens were my contribution. []

So... another positive vote. Or good feedback. Or whatever the heck we're doing here. Supporting sponsors? Yeah - that's it. Speaking of which, I need to place an order - quick, while the wife is out of town!!!
