Ok, so I cut up some super split logs. I thought these would make the coolest peppermill blanks Ever! The first was a huge log of cocobolo my dad bought a year or so ago. And there was a huge inch wide crack in it. I told him, I can cast that. It turned out really cool. No pressure, and it does have lots of little bubbles around the edges, but it is workable. The rest were done in my pressure pot. I did one with spalted birch. I am going to stabilize the whole thing after I make a big clear stabilizing chamber. The other on is a piece of cherry, and the other one is a super split piece of holly. I cant wait for my dad to make these into peppermills!
