Great job on the vase! Red cedar is one of my favorites.
BTW, where did you get the glass inserts? I have some small straight ones. This one looks to be larger.

Beautiful. The placement of the knot, and the way the grain curves around it, brings to mind a big bottomed girl twisting at the waist.

Awesome vase Bob!!! The color, shape and finish are top notch!!! I've never turned Red Cedar as I've always heard that it was to 'soft' to turn...obviously not! Any cautions or advice on turning cedar like this??? Thanks for sharing and safe turning to you always!

Wow! It looks stunning, the grains and the colors are forming a swirl which is perfect for its shape. Beautiful work!
