G'day Sherman,

There is a lot of info and suggestions on IAP in regards to drying green wood, I myself have a fair bit of information in that regard and it would me easier for me to suggest you search on IAP about "drying green wood", you will get lost of info from many of us...!

If there is a specific question you need to ask then, feel free to do so, we will give a hand...!

Cheers
George

If you'd like to swap something, I can send you a box of pecan pen blanks or a pecan board about 7.5" x 11" & you can cut your own blanks to your preference. I had a large limb milled into rough cut boards about 10 years ago, so the wood is nice & dry and turns quite well.

First suggestion, move the question about drying bowl blanks to either casual conversation, or other things we make. Casting and stabilization might not be the best place. Mountains of info on the web, guys that rough turn and soak in alcohol, rough turn and soak in dish washing soap, rough turn and air dry, rough turn and kiln dry, turn to completion while green, throw green blanks in the freezer............you get the message. A simple Google search will give you about 6 months or reading.
