Just a word of warning about snake skin blanks. DO NOT buy any that are cast in alumilite. I did and they were mostly useless due to large whitish patches at both ends of the barrels. Make sure they are cast in PR. Don Ward makes the best I've seen. The ones from AS can be incredibly brittle.

Ditto everything GerryR said!!

And I'll add, be very very careful near the ends of your blanks because if it is a "thick" skin the overlap to hide the seam ends up being thicker than the thickness of material allowed on the Jr's. You might want to leave the blank "proud" of the bushing and radius the corner.
