Well now they've gone and done it!!! Canada is hogging the jet stream and not letting it drop south to push out the massive low pressure system that has flooded Texas, Mississippi , Arkansas and Tennessee, and Georgia. So our first show of the season just got canceled. They are refunding the fees thankfully , Now I propose that if the jet stream is not allowed to drift south by the middle of next week, that the members from the above states, many of whom can generate massive quantities of hot air, form up a posse go to Canada and release a lot of it and get the jet stream headed south. If my show for next weekend gets canceled due to rain they won't refund any money, and it's the biggest show in this state, the bummer was I just spent close to 150.00 getting ready for this week ends show I had to make a new bench for my lathe, buy a 36x24 piece of Lexan for a shield since I was going to demo, plus I got 30 slimlines cut tubed and squared to length.
I realize that many of our Canadian neighbors will want to blame this issue on "Climate Change" but the underlying fact is they are in possession of the jet stream and we as Americans and Southerners would like it back!!!

I guess sharing the "jet stream" isn't covered by the US/Canadian free traded agreement. I will trade you the jet stream for less tarifs on our softwood lumber.

I had to build a shield for mine also I'm taking 48 finished pens, and the blanks for another 48. I'd love to sell out. I get $20 apiece for them

No need for anyone to travel so far Ken. I can think of one member in particular ( from WI :wink that could easily solve all the hot air problems single handedly. :biggrin::devil::biggrin: I'm pretty sure he's the epicentre of global warming!!!:biggrin:
