Question About New "Plating(?)" From CSUSA??

I was just looking through the new CSUSA catalog and saw a new "plating" option that I had never noticed before. It is called Rhodium w/Stone and is only available with the Havana kits. There is no description or picture in the catalog or on the web site. Has anyone tried this option or know what the "stone" reference means??

I'm going to email CSUSA on Monday; but it has been my experience that asking for pictures other than what are in the catalog or on the web site is unproductive.

Hi Randy, i was looking on their site and saw this too. Is it that the stone ones have a "Gem stone" set into the clip. It looks like there may be one on the top pen in their picture.

Andrew: I was thinking along the same line; but the pen that seems like it might have a "stone" on the clip, also has a color that looks more like gold than rhodium so I really don't know??

Hi Randy,

On my monitor, the first one on top really looks like rohdium, compare to the second one wich is gold and when you enlarge the image, you can really see the stone. I guess PSI succes with their stone clip is catching on[}]

Thanks, Alfred!! You have resolved the question. The photo in the catalog deceived me a little but; enlarging the web picture makes it obvious.

Thanks, Randy, for pointing these out. I've always loved the Havana/Robusto pens for their size and heft. I thought they looked pretty good as is. Maybe they'll even look a little better with the stoned clip.[] I haven't purchased any recently, but I think I will soon! Thanks! []

Actually, CSUSA has had that clip available for over a year, long before the PSI Majestic. I made one of the ballpoints with a stone over a year ago. It didn't seem to sell any faster than ones without, so I never made any more with the stone.

I seem to remember that PSI had kits with the Swarovsky crystal option long before the Majestic kit came out; however, I don't see them in the current catalog. Is my memory shot or has PSI discontinued that optiion for the other kits??
