for #1 I went back and forth between KY coffee and honey locust, went with honey locust. For #4 the obvious answer was Pecan, should've known it was a trick! I suppose I shouldn't feel too bad, at least I was in the right genus (https://www.wood-database.com/wood-articles/true-hickory-and-pecan-hickory/). The other three were fairly straightforward.

Looks to me like Edgar got the Kentucky coffeetree and hickory mixed up . Oh well , we all make mistakes .
