For all of you who couldn't care less about football (and there are some real men who don't care about the game or at the least, THIS game's teams) there's always the puppy bowl on Animal Planet.

I'm watching it now while surfing the IAP... and waiting for a shredded money blank to dry... it's chock-full of CA glue to fill pits and holes in it.

If you like dogs (and all real men like dogs, by the way) then you won't be disappointed with the Puppy Bowl.

My Golden Retriever is not happy about this though... me watching dogs on TV instead of giving her all my attention.

Actually, she gets all freaked out when a camera is put in her face. She's a rescued dog... in her first two years, she was abused as a birthing mother at a puppy mill.

Of course, since then she has lived better than 99% of the world's children. She goes everywhere with me, including the office every day.

Here's another shot that's a little more upbeat. Lady's enjoying the sun on the deck of the log cabin we rented at Lake Lure, NC last November.

I endeavor to sell my home in the inner city of Houston one day and move to this part of the country... and raise golden retrievers as part of my retirement income.

Of course, I'll be turning wood too. Man I'm addicted. Got my own lathe four days ago and can't stop thinking about going out to the garage to use it.

This is our rescue dog.. Maggie. She a mix of who really knows what, but the vet said she has some Jack Russel in her. She was born with the short tail.
She was picked up roaming the roads by a friend who got her and we assume a brother... Maggie was about half the size of the male dog, and we thought she would be small... she stands about 16 to 18 inches at the shoulders... Problem is, she still likes to roam the roads... even after 2 years in our house.. she wants to be outside. We live in the country and she visits all the neighbors and plays with one neighbor's 9 year old pit bull and a 6 or 8 month old Plot hound.... I'm not fond of her other pastime, hunting skunks...

She and the cat seem to get along well...

Ohhhhhhhh!!! can`t resist, this is my little girl, just few months ago. We were up at the cabin to close up for winter. She loves it up there. I let her run free. I am head over heels crazy about her.
