I want to make a public apology to John Grden here.

With the stress of the holidays, family issues, etc etc. I let my cynical nature overcome the basic good that is there. I over reacted to a very minor setback and immediately jump to conclusions based on prior event that are in no way Representative of this forum and the members here.

John I am deeply sorry for my actions and words, they were un called for and hurtful. The membership here did not deserve them and neither did you. Sometimes I lose faith in the world and always look for the rub when there isn't one. I have no reason to think that there was anything other then good intentions and straightforwardness here.

Once again I am sorry, I was wrong and out of line..

Boy am I glad to see this, it take a big man to own up to his mistakes and for that I admire what you've just posted.
 
Well said Dennis. It takes a big person to say what you did.

I don't think there is anyone here that is malicious but maybe I just haven't met them yet. Everyone I have had interaction with has been great!!

IAP and it's people are great!!
 
Atta boy Dennis. Taking the high road...good for you. I sure was hoping for a peaceful ending to all of this. I wasn't offended by your posts, but maybe a bit concerned. I hope everything works out for you guys and that we all have a very Merry Christmas!

I don't know what the heck got into me. Just old paranoia from other experiences and lost track of where i was at. Coupled with frustration and stress, not a good combo.

I have to say this though, John is the stand up guy here, he has taken all this with a grain of salt and stayed calm. Thank you.

I am usually very impatient anyway and usually only buy local for that reason, hate waiting, this just got me and don't know why. I am sure that when the package gets here I will be more then pleased, and from what john told me yesterday, the way he packed it, it would take a lot to damage even going parcel... :)

Are the holidays over yet? :)

Thank you all again for "guiding" me back on track.

I commend you for stepping up to the plate and making amends. This can be stressful time of year and being only human we all lose it occasionally. DAMHIKT!
 
And while your apology is welcome to see, I do hope John accepts it and begins contributing again soon. He's made many contributions and we need everyone who is willing to share their thoughts or experiences.

I've looked in on him and see he's been monitoring the boards but no posts lately that I've seen.

I hope so too! I need him around, as soon as I get the camera I have a nice ebony pen to show him that hasnt cracked yet :)
 
I think I am beginning to Bond with Dennis.

I don't need an apology. I just wish that darned Post Office would deliver the camera. They ruined everything for him and for me.

The people on this site, including Dennis (I bought wood from him a couple weeks ago) have saved me several times, provided excellent products, continue educating me and giving me tips to help in pen making. All of you are valuable to me.

I have to say it again John, yes you did deserve an apology! Sometimes I lose track of who the good guys are and who the bad guys are. Cynical thinking is a bad bad thing at times. There are very few people I consider a role model in life anymore. But the way that you handled my rants and attitude gives me something to still strive for. Thank you .

As for the members here, it is one of the great places left. The help, guidence, and warmth is second to none..
 
Exactly two full weeks to the day, I have the camera in hand, made the journey with not a problem. Box was a little beat up but inside was very well packed! Just like he said it was.

So i am eating crow tonight but loving every bite of it! Thank you and sorry again!
