I don't know if anyone else has encountered this, but I recently purchased some pen kits from PSI, some of the higher end ones that were on sale: Majestic, Jr. Majestic, etc. I tried to add 2 of a couple to my cart, and was hit with a "One Per Customer" limitation. I checked some other similar kits that were not on sale, and many of those also had a one per customer limit.

I suspect this is because of supply issues...but, its rough, if you need more than one kit, you either have to buy from multiple sources, or maybe make multiple orders I guess...

I've also run into some trouble sourcing tools. These supply and shipping problems are really starting to get out of hand, that you cannot even buy enough supply or tools to make pens for potential customers. 😢

The only time I have seen this from PSI is for "Starter Kits" which are usually limited to one per customer. I have never run into that with the "kit only" pens. For example, the "Majestic Jr Black TN/Rhodium Rollerball Pen Kit Starter Set" that includes the Bushings and Trimming Sleeves for $28.80 will only go into my cart as a quantity of 1 with a message that it is one per customer. However, I can put as many "Majestic Jr. Black TN/Rhodium Rollerball Pen Kit" for $29.95 in my cart as I want. (I tried 40 for over a thousand bucks and they went in just fine).

Regards,
Dave

Strange. I tried to order some Majestic Jr. kits, non-sets, that did not list on their page that they were limited to one per customer, but when I added more than one to my cart, the count was reset to one and a message was then displayed that said limited to one per customer. I did notice that on some of the other things I tried, the product pages actually did show in red letters limited to one per customer. I thought it was odd that the Majestic kits, and I think it was a couple of letter openers, did not have any such messaging on their product pages (and some them even showed bulk pricing tables), and yet still would not allow me to add more than one at a time to my cart.

That is really strange. Perhaps worth a phone call to PSI. Good luck in getting it resolved - Dave

Might be a good time to try Exotic Blanks. Ed and Dawn carry most (all?) of the PSI stuff and they usually get an order to me in a day or 2
I guess im lucky then, i bought kits last week and had no issues. They had the Apollo Infinity twist pen on sale half price ($5.95), plus another 20% off. I personally LOVE exotic blanks but it seems like they are always out of at least 1 item that I need to order.

Hmm. Interesting. I've NEVER had that issue with Exotic Blanks

I use Exotic blanks, Ed is VERY HELPFUL and WoodTurningz has PSI stuff too.

Everyone will have shortages, PAY ATTENTION and order now!

I actually buy from everyone... PSI had a sale ongoing at the time, so I was buying some sale items from them, as well as some of these other items (which, actually, were discounted even more than the 20% of the main sale, but weren't part of the sale...) I think it was some kind of configuration screwup on their site, as I was able to add more than one of a couple of those items to my cart today. 🤷‍♂️

I buy a lot from Exotic Blanks. I ended up with a defective Triton kit, but its been EXTREMELY hard to get ahold of them. I didn't receive answers to numerous emails, but received one call from them (which I didn't get until a couple days later due to a voicemail mishap.) I then tried many times to call them back, but they don't answer their phone. I then tried emailing, with no replies. It took a couple more calls and another email before they finally responded to the email...but, I still don't know for sure what's going to happen regarding this defective kit... Its been a bit frustrating, and seems unusual for EB. 🤷‍♂️

Its a shruggy time, I guess....

PSI…. I'll buy the starter kit and a few singles if I want more. I'll have bushings and bits so I might add chrome kits as they are usually the cheapest.

It doesn't matter who I order things from, I always run into some combination of one place carries some (but not all) of the things I'm ordering, or they're out of one (and I need it quickly). That's Murphey's law at work, I guess. Or maybe I'm just too picky (I like their kits, but their blanks, and their tools, and their sandpaper).
