I have never been to this event, could some one explain to me the daily events, AND NIGHTS. I am trying to see if it is worth coming out from Lincon, Ne.[8)]

Tom,
The Pen Rendezvous is the night before the Utah woodturners symposium starts.
It starts at 8 am with an open house at CSU, they have sales and demos going on all day.
Then at 7 PM, penturners meet this year at the Hampton Inn, for more demos and good ol BS, plenty of door prizes as well. The link below will show you.

Then the Woodturners Symposium starts at BYU for Thur, Fri, Sat. with the best turners in the world doing demos. Here is the link for the symposium.

Last year was my first time and I will be back as long as scheduling permits.

Some day, I'll make it out there. It would be a great opportunity to meet some of the awesome folks in these forums, trade stories and pick up some nice tips. I need all of those I can get.
Rob

It would definitely be worth the trip. However, the ticket sales for the symposium closed about a month ago. They only sell 450 tickets per year. The CSUSA day and the Wed night activities looks like it will be a great experience. You'll want to plan next year understanding that the tickets generally run out a month or so before the main event. Hope this helps. Lane

I'm planning on trying to make it next year. Vacation has already been planned for this year and next week is a major biennial inspection that I just can't get away from.[:(]
