For those of you around here who do production turning - pens or assorted widgets - as your full time gig, I have no idea how you do it! I do not do this as my full time job. I am in the midst of my second large order over the past month and it's not as enjoyable as it should be. Now, I like the extra $$, but it's too monotonous for me. Upside is I'm getting really good at repetitive actions, but I crave efficiency in the process without sacrificing quality. And that's the kicker!!

Sorry for the rant, but I long for an evening of something new. And fingers that aren't caked with CA! :D

ah, the old "Is it a hobby or a business" teeter-totter! I know a lot of you that do full time woodworking can't imaging trading places with a desk jockey! Oh the monotony, the boredom, the predictable paychecks;) how can you do it....dang, that grass looks green...

I'm with you, I don't know that I could do it full time, but I LOVE doing it on my terms:D.
