I am trying to make the Product Review section a little more active and interesting. I'm looking for some suggestions of what you would like to see there. Also, I am interested in knowing if more people would be willing to give an honest review, positive or negative, if their name did not appear with the review.

Neil, surely an honest product review would be neither negative or positive?
Otherwise it would be a critique. I would also prefer to see the name of the person that wrote the article. Two reasons, first so I could judge the credibility of the review and perhaps to thank that person if I found it useful.
Say for instance there was a review on a new type of CA that was ideal for finishing wood. The review would have all the credibility one could ask for if it was written by Russ Fairfield or someone like Mark Ligget, and had their name on it. Of course, if the same topic had my name:redface: then you would know that you should take it with a large pinch of salt !!!!.:rolleyes::wink:

Trying

I am trying to get a company to supply me with their product for a review for a new finish that i am interested in. Hopefully they will respone positively on the request.

One of the problems with the review section I noticed

Too many people posting aren't reviews only comments. I was looking for a review on the skogger tool. There are only a few people that actually reviewed it while everyone else wrote about how they want one or the ordered one, etc. It would be nice if only the actual review posting remained and the others were deleted.

Most of the review post are that way. I'm not sure why someone has the urge to post an attempt at a joke on a review.

Also I'm been looking for reviews on different finishes and all the reviews I found where under finishing, which seems fine, but I have to do a lot of searching to find the diamond in all the rough. It would be nice to have more true reviews from people on subjects like this.

Just my thoughts
Thanks for your time
Angela
