I'm not sure, but, let's try.
When you decide to PM someone you will get the advanced menu and this one does not have the ability to attach an image. Only by Hyperlink.
But, you can, on the right side, under the Smiles section, click on Images. This will bring up a list of images you have posted here on IAP. For example, anything you have put in an album, or Posted in "Show Off Your Pens"
This will allow you to post an image, in a round about way.
