Can anyone tell me how much it cost to ship a Priority Mail Video Box?
Would it be best to ship a pen in one of those boxes or in one of the paded envelopes? Will the padded envelope provide enough protection?

I do not know the price of the video box but I have sent pens in the padded envelope to Canada with no problems. My pens were in the cardboard presentation boxes I got in the group buy here. I then placed that in the padded envelope and the feedback I got was that they arrived in good shape.

They go by weight, but it starts out at $4.80 and up. I have seen people put them inside the $4.80 flat rate envelopes too.:D The pox is perfect for shipping, Two pens fit inside with most any pen box on the market.

I like using the Priority Mail #4 boxes. But, I use a postal scale. It is digital and cost only $25.00, with shipping from eBay. It has saved me a lot of money in that I know exactly how much postage to put on something. Some things will go priority between the $4.80 and $8.90. They are 7"X7" and protect better than the envelopes.

I would say to slip the video box into a flat rate envelope and it will cost only $4.60 but I won't say that because some here will reply that that is not legal or ethical but it is because the post office head guy said it was and the post office window people take them that way unless they are new and then I have to educate them and they take them next time but a pen in the video box will only cost $4.60 anyway so unless the weight is over 16 ounces don't use the flat rate envelope but when the weight exceeds 16 ounces you will save money using the flat rate envelope. Got it?:D:D:D

I do the exact same thing and see a lot of things shipped to me that way.. I know it's only a .20 difference.. But that .20 adds up and you don't have to worry about the weight..

I stand corrected. I got so carried away with my attempt at a humerous answer that I missed the price. Priority mail is $4.80 up to 16 ounces. I don't think the mailer has to be a special priority box or envelope. They will stamp it priority and use priority tape on any pkg. But, if the pkg is over 16 ounces then I slip the tape box into a flat rate envelope for $4.60 up to 4 lbs. And yes, the twenty cents adds up, especially when mailing several pkgs each week. Actually I also use a padded envelope with the pen inside. Address the envelope and slip that into one of the priority envelopes with one side clear and sent them that way. I've had no problem...except the ones I DON'T insure. I now insure all them all.
