Folks,

Don't know if this is new to anybody here, but I've been looking for a way to do this for years, and finally found it! If you want to be able to print postage at home the only options I knew of were shipping priority at usps.com or paying an outrageous monthly fee for a postage meter or account somewhere.

But....Here's the solution. If you have a paypal account, all you need to do is go to this link

https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_ship-now

Put in the info and print out the postage, it's billed to your paypal account, no need to sell the item on ebay or buy a subscription!

This is the same service that paypal and usps provide for ebay sellers, just without the additional part of the url that makes it specific to an item sold on ebay.

Thanks for the link. I recently started using USPS "Click-n-ship" option for all the flat-rate envelopes/boxes I seem to be sending out (making someone at USPS rich!). You can pay for the postage online VERY easy so long as you are using their flat-rate stuff.

Thanks for the link, I am used to the pay pal screen from maiing so much stuff for bulk buys. There is always one or two that I don't have the little print postage button for though and have always had to go directly to the USPS site. it all works quite abit different and was never easy for me to adjust to. this will make it much easier to get those last few packages mailed.

Remember folks, it is always the best practice to NOT click a link to anything Paypal where you will be required to enter your user name and password. In the case above, I clicked the link and since I was not logged in, it asked for my Paypal addy and password. I did not enter it. Instead I went direct to Paypal, logged in, and then came back and clicked the link.

Jskeen is a member here with a number of posts so it is highly unlikely that he would be trying to scam your info so please don't think I am even hinting at that. It is just a VERY BAD practice to EVER click a Paypal link in an kind of message you get, be it e-mail or on a public forum.

There are all kinds of creeps out there that will make a fake page that looks and acts just like the real thing. The when you enter your info, they capture it and use it to log in and clean out your Paypal account. I have a good friend that this happened to so just beware!

Curtis;

You are absolutely correct, I should have specified that in my message. I just do it out of habit and didn't think to remind people. Thanks for catching my mistake, as I would hate to find out somebody got robbed because of my lack of attention.

This is good practice for any site that requires a password, if it's important enough to put a password on in the first place, some scumbag somewhere has probably figured out a way to get you in trouble with it if they get into it.
