So as not to hi-jack Tom's thread.. I have a question relating to Frank's answer about pricing..

Frank laser sign his calls, I don't sign mine yet, but agree it would be good idea.. I can't afford the laser, but what about a little branding iron..

Does anyone know a good source for small sized branding irons..

Chuck, my hand isn't steady enough to sign with a hot iron. And the branding iron, IMHO, could be problematic on a curved surface. For me, laser is the way to go. I quickly learned that buyers of duck calls are a different breed. They are (often) serious collectors first and callers second. If the calls look, and sound, good they want to buy while prices are cheap and the maker unknown. Because when (if) a maker gets famous, the prices go up considerably. BTW, I get mine laser engraved very reasonably and just factor into the price.
